Jess Ranch Lake Fish Report

Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

Anglers enjoyed sunny skies and unseasonable cool weather this week. Trout action was very good with Power Bait ( especially garlic, salmon peach and spring green), night crawler, jigs and lures all catching limits. Most trout were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Catfish bite is excellent with anglers using power bait, night crawlers, mackerel and shrimp to catch limits. Lots of limits of catfish went out with most fish in the 2 pound range. Hot spots include the eastern shore of lake 3 and the eastern and western shore of lake 2. Bass are hitting senkos and spinner bait with fish up to 4 pounds. Hot spots for bass included the south eastern shore of lake 2 as well as the northern shore of lake 3 near the pump house. Bluegill are still waiting for the warm-up but many are being caught on meal worms and small jigs near the pump house on the western shore of lake 3 and the eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall.
